Wrestling seminar on January 13th!
I hope all of our friends have had a merry Christmas! The UT wrestlers will be back on the mat practicing starting Jan. 9th and back to competition. Also, if your looking for a great way to improve your skills for the second half of the season; Pinnacle MMA in Knoxville,TN will be hosting a wrestling seminar by former college wrestler and current pro MMA fighter Nate Jolly!!! Spaces are limited and the cost is only $20!!! For more info please contact Josh Cate at 865-386-5052. NCWA Nationals Invite/ Post Thanksgiving schedule
The UTK wrestling team has been officially invited to the NCWA National Duals in Dalton, GA along with 24 other teams! This will be the first tournament of the new year and we look to add some great additions to the team as well!
We will be back to competition on Nov. 29th against ETSU and Spartanburg Methodist. Then the MTSU Duals on Dec. 1st. Help our guys stay motivated by keeping up the support and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

Nov. 10th Patriot Open Wrestling Tournament
This weekend the UTK wrestlers will be competing in the Patriot Open to be held at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY. This year the tournament promises to be one of the largest of the season with over 200 wrestlers registered to compete. Teams involved will be comprised of NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and NCWA teams from the surrounding area and states. We wish our wrestlers luck in their first individual tournament and look for them to make a statement this weekend. GO VOLS!!!

Nov. 3rd Tri-Meet results
UTK defeats TN Temple in a 21-12 close match with big wins provided by Grayson Mullin at 157 lbs. and Weston Phillips at 184 lbs. Unfortunately UTK fell to MTSU 52-4. All matches were hard fought by the UTK wrestlers with Grayson Mullin scoring the only points winning by major decision over Chad Isbell at 157 lbs. The UTK team is 1-1 to start the season but continue to improve with every match. So continue to support these guys and their efforts and thanks to all that showed to watch the match!!!

The Wrestling Club at the University of Tennessee has been building its program for the past couple of years. A solid group of 14 wrestlers contributes to one of the most promising years for the growing club. With one of the largest schedules the team has had, they are kicking of the season with a home match at 5:00pm on Saturday November 3rd hosted at the Emerald Youth Foundation in Knoxville, TN. The UT wrestlers will be facing off against NCWA power house MTSU and the newly instated team at Tennessee Temple University. The competition is open to the public with admission of only $5 and free for children under 10.
